Taxi
Welcome to Beijing! When you arrive in Beijing and wish to go to your hotel or directly to the venue, please exit the arrival hall of the airport building. Unfortunately our new Subway and Airport terminal will not be open until just before the Olympics (Sometime in 2008), so your transportation will be relying by way of taxi. Here you will find the official taxi stand. We strongly advise you not to use the taxi service offered by people in the arrival hall, as they have no taxi meter or business license they are known as illegal taxis and usually rip off foreigners. Typically speaking foreigners that don¡¯t speak Chinese or know where they are going are their "prey" you can get very easy ripped off.
A taxi will cost you anywhere from about RMB 90 to RMB 110 (10-15 USD) from the airport to downtown Beijing and takes around 50 minutes, depending on traffic.
