FAQ

1. What are the times for exhibitor move-in and dismantling the booths?
Exhibitor move-in: November 9 (Sunday) 09:00 - 18:00
Special designed booth construction: November 10 (Monday) 08:30 - 18:00
Exhibition dismantling period: November 13 (Thursday) 16:00 - 17:00

2. What are the exhibition dates and time?
November 11 (Tuesday) 09:30 - 17:00
November 12 (Wednesday) 09:00 - 17:00
November 13 (Thursday) 09:00 - 16:00

Notice: Delegates may not enter the Exhibition Hall during the opening ceremony on November 11 (before 9:30 am). Only the exhibitors may enter the Exhibition Hall during 9:00 am to 9:30 am. After 9:30, the Exhibition Hall is open to all participants.

3. What are the application procedures for special booth construction?
If an exhibitor needs to construct a special or customized booth, you will need to submit a written application to the organizer before September 10th 2008. You will also need to attach and send the relevant documents, according to the Exhibition Manual, to both the Beijing International Convention Centre (BICC) and the organizer. Please be aware that we will conduct the booth construction in accordance with the standard booth design if you do not send back the application and documents on time. If exhibitors do not submit their application on time and/or the booth contractors do not conduct construction in accordance with the rules stated by the BICC, both parties will be fully responsible for any liabilities incurred. 4. Who will be responsible for the safety of exhibition materials and personal belongings?
Exhibitors are fully responsible for the safety of all their own belongings. If lost, the organizer is not liable.

5. Can I take my families to attend the exhibition or conference?
Apologies, but no. Only exhibitors and delegates can enter the exhibition area. Please do not lend your badge to others. You MUST wear your own badge at all times.

6. If I have registered, but for some reason I cannot attend the exhibition, can I ask for a refund or transfer the booth to another person?
If you cannot attend the conference in person, you may assign another person to attend in your place by faxing or emailing us the updated registration form, or by renewing your registration info online with your user name and password. If your company cannot exhibit at CHINA MINING EXPO, please notify us in written form. Please note cancellations will only be refunded, less a 40% administration fee, if a written request is received before October 10, 2008. No refunds will be made after October 11, 2008.

7. Can I apply for a booth on-site?
You cannot apply for a booth on-site. If you would like a booth in the exhibition, please submit your booth application before the stipulated deadline.

8. Are there any preferential policies for exhibitors?
If you register before September 15, you will be given the early bird rate of EUR 800. If you are a member of PDAC, AMA or CIMG, you will automatically be given the early bird rate of EUR 700. If you miss the early bird rate, the full rate of EUR 950 will apply.

The booth package includes one complimentary delegate pass and two complimentary exhibitor passes. For any additional delegates from the exhibiting companies, there will be a promotional rate of EUR 800; and for additional exhibitors in the booth, only EUR 100 will be charged.

9. I will move the exhibits into and out of the BICC, do I need a permit?
Exhibitors can take the exhibits into the BICC without any proof, but all the move-out exhibits should be attached with an approval document from Show Management. The security guard at the entrance will be responsible for checking the approval documents. Please refer to the on-site show office to obtain the approval document.

10. What registration information does the organizer require?
1) Exhibitors Information Form
2) Furniture Rental Form (if applicable)
3) AV Equipment Rental Form (if applicable)
The forms 1) should be submitted to the organizer before September 15 2008; 2), 3) should be submitted to the organizer before November 05 2008 .

11. What on-site services will be offered?
You will receive a range of on-site services, including furniture and AV equipment. If you have questions on-site, please go to the registration area and ask the personnel at the service desk for assistance.

12. I need a visa for China, can the organizers assist me with applying for a visa?
Exhibitors must apply for a visa through the associated ministry or government bodies. Should you require a visa invitation letter for our event as associated evidence, send your application to us; and after your payment is received, we will send an invitation letter to you.

13. Where can I find the information for the Terms of the Exhibition Contract?

14. Our company will be exhibiting at this year’s event. As a delegate, is it possible to enter the BICC with a booth worker to start construction of a booth?
The BICC will be open to the delegates on November 10th, at that time you may enter (with your delegate badge) and the worker to access the booth. Delegates may not enter the conference centre before the opening ceremony (9:30 am) on November 11th. Only the exhibitors may enter the conference centre before this time. Please arrange your booth construction in accordance with this time regulation.
